History of Tyra Karn

Tyra Karn is an Awoken Cryptarch and historian, a Warlock, once the lorekeeper of the Iron Lords. She returned to the Iron Temple during the SIVA Crisis to help identify Clovis Bray prototypes and the replication center's self-destruct, and helped rebuild the exotic Gjallarhorn. During the Red War she sheltered at The Farm, studying the Shard of the Traveler. She later works from the Last City, leading Cryptarchy research on Umbral Engrams.

In the game, she decrypts Prime Engrams and gives their contents to players, and is involved in the Exotic quests Relics of the Golden Age and Independent Study. She sells nothing. She was moved into the Destiny Content Vault in Beyond Light and is no longer available in the game.
