History of Umbral Decipherer

Overview

Umbral Decipherer is a Triumph in Destiny 2. The objective is to decrypt Season of the Splicer Focused Umbral Engrams. Completing this triumph awards no additional rewards beyond the triumph itself.

How to complete

To complete the Umbral Decipherer triumph, players must decrypt Focused Umbral Engrams. These engrams are associated with Season of the Splicer.

Original practical route

Complete Decrypting the Darkness to unlock the Prismatic Recaster and Umbral Decoder in the H.E.L.M.. Unlock the required Prismatic Lens by completing and claiming its Season of the Splicer lens triumph. Gather Umbral Engrams and Decrypted Data from seasonal progression and Override rewards.

At the Prismatic Recaster, focus an Umbral Engram with a Season of the Splicer lens. Then decrypt the resulting Focused Umbral Engram at the Umbral Decoder. This triumph counts decoding the Splicer-focused result, rather than simply acquiring an unfocused engram.

Category and availability

This belongs to Season of the Splicer → Splicer Mastery → Quests. Its original three score tiers totalled 25 Triumph Score. The original seasonal focusing route was removed with Destiny 2: The Witch Queen on 22 February 2022; modern seasonal engram focusing does not reproduce these Splicer lens requirements.
