History of Usurper

Overview

The Usurper triumph is a challenge within Destiny 2 that requires the player to complete the Pit of Heresy dungeon solo and without leaving the activity. Completing this triumph awards 20 Score.

How to complete

To earn the Usurper triumph, the player must enter the Pit of Heresy dungeon. The dungeon must be completed entirely solo, meaning no other players can assist or accompany the player during the run. Additionally, the player must not leave the activity at any point during the completion. Once the dungeon is finished under these conditions, the objective "Usurper" completed will be marked as done.

Solo route and survival

Start a fresh Pit of Heresy run and stay in the activity through Zulmak, Instrument of Torment. Deaths do not invalidate this solo triumph; a flawless run is a separate challenge. Build for reliable healing and ammunition rather than trying to finish every boss in one damage phase.

1. Necropolis: identify the three tower runes and defeat their disciples with the dropped Hive sword. Use melee against the Knight, projectiles against the Wizard, and guard to reflect the Shrieker attacks.
2. Tunnels of Despair: defeat the Heretical Knights and carry their Void Charges to the three sealed entrances. Hide in side passages while the invulnerable Ogres pass.
3. Chamber of Suffering: keep returning to the central plate and deposit six charges. Prioritize the balcony Boomers after each deposit; healing and cover give you time to gather the next charge.
4. The Harrow: find the three rune-marked Pit Keepers while avoiding the hanging traps and gaps. Take the traversal slowly.
5. Zulmak, Instrument of Torment: use swords to defeat the three disciples, then deposit their charges to start damage. Stay within the damage area while attacking, but leave before the crystal detonates. Repeat safely until the boss dies.

Category and reward

Usurper belongs to the Shadowkeep dungeon triumphs and is required for Harbinger. Completing it awards 20 triumph score.
