History of Utopia

Overview

Utopia was the seventh story mission of the original Destiny 2 campaign (the Red War). The Guardian descends into the New Pacific Arcology on Titan to retrieve a Golden Age CPU capable of decrypting intercepted Cabal communications.

Encounters

• The descent runs through Fallen and Hive forces, with the Ogre Garmurg as the main boss fight.
• After securing the CPU, the Guardian escapes an awakened Hive colony using a maintenance tank to reach the extraction point, where Amanda Holliday provides aerial pickup.

Story

The CPU reveals that the Cabal superweapon The Almighty is positioned to destroy the Sun. The ending cutscene prompts Commander Zavala to reunite the Vanguard leadership for a counteroffensive.

Rewards

Completing it unlocks Nessus and the next mission, Looped.

Status
