History of Veil

Overview

The Veil is a spectrometer that is a quest item in The Final Strand. Its final form is the Final Warning exotic sidearm, a Strand weapon.

Acquisition

The spectrometer is taken from the Typhon Imperator, where players defeat the Imprint of Nezarec to retrieve it. Some guides name a Tormentor as the holder instead, so reported sources differ on this (2023).

Steps

1. Take the spectrometer from the Typhon Imperator, following the waypoint to the bridge that was previously uncrossable.
2. Return to the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes on Neomuna and meditate on how to retrofit it into a Strand weapon.
3. Complete Osiris's training program in Radiosonde (the Headlong time trial) in under 5 minutes 30 seconds. This retunes the spectrometer's Strand vibrations.
4. Return to the Pouka Pond, build the weapon with a Neomuni nanite cartridge, and complete the quest.

Veil Containment

Veil Containment is a Neomuna site in the quest. Reported guides describe reaching it on foot through the city streets.
