History of Velocity

Velocity is a ranged weapon stat "available only to rocket launchers and grenade launchers." It increases the speed of projectiles, and takes the place of the Range stat on those weapons.

Why it matters

Launcher projectiles take time to arrive rather than hitting instantly, so higher velocity helps against moving targets and at distance. Perks such as Rangefinder boost projectile velocity while aiming.
