History of Volatile Light

Overview

Volatile Light is the intrinsic on Hard Light, an Exotic Auto Rifle. Its rounds have reduced damage falloff, overpenetrate targets and ricochet off hard surfaces, and projectile damage increases after a bounce.

The reduced falloff and overpenetration make it strong against armored targets at range.

Hard Light's other perks let you change its element through the menu to Arc, Solar or Void. Switching takes several seconds through the menu, so it is impractical mid-fight.
