History of Wrath of the Colossus

Overview

Wrath of the Colossus is the intrinsic perk of Grand Overture, an Exotic Arc Machine Gun that fires slug rounds. The perk makes the gun charge up while the trigger is held, then fire full auto for as long as you keep holding it. Bungie's description calls it a heavy slug launcher. Destinypedia lists the weapon at 100 RPM with a 20-round magazine.

The perk is tied to the Omega Strike trait on the same gun. Slug hits load missiles with Arc damage. Hold the alternate weapon action and then fire to launch the loaded missiles as a volley. The sources say "several" missiles and don't agree on an exact count, so check in-game.

Sources disagree on the season it came from. Destinypedia says Season of the Risen, while another list names The Witch Queen as its first appearance.

Catalyst

The catalyst makes missile explosions blind enemies, and targets killed by missile impacts explode. The catalyst changes the missiles, not the charge-and-fire behaviour of the perk itself.

Rolls

Grand Overture's other roll options are Hammer-Forged Rifling and Accurized Rounds (both extend range) and Hand-Laid Stock (stability). Those rolls go with the perk's full-auto style, which suits Arc damage at close to mid range.

Acquisition
