History of Xenophage
Revision 14859 by archivist at 2026-10-09 05:23:21
Xenophage is a Solar Exotic Machine Gun with an anti-Unstoppable profile. Its intrinsic perk, Pyrotoxin Rounds, fires high-powered explosive ammunition. Lore-wise it is the first known weapon to use a Guardian's soul: that of Omar Agah, a Titan transformed by Hive experimentation, visible as a crystal during reload.
Acquisition
- Complete "The Journey" Exotic Quest, released with Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, which includes puzzle solving and a run of the Pit of Heresy Dungeon.
Catalyst
Added in June 2026. PC Gamer’s June 10, 2026 table lists a random drop from the Pit of Heresy dungeon and the Chain Reaction and Rampage perks. The source does not identify a specific boss, checkpoint, or reset method, and later route changes were not independently confirmed. Complete the catalyst’s in-game target-defeat objective to unlock it.
