History of Xenophage

Xenophage is a Solar Exotic Machine Gun with an anti-Unstoppable profile. Its intrinsic perk, Pyrotoxin Rounds, fires high-powered explosive ammunition. Lore-wise it is the first known weapon to use a Guardian's soul: that of Omar Agah, a Titan transformed by Hive experimentation, visible as a crystal during reload.

Acquisition

• Complete "The Journey" Exotic Quest, released with Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, which includes puzzle solving and a run of the Pit of Heresy Dungeon.

Catalyst

The catalyst is a random drop from Zulmak, final boss of Pit of Heresy, added with the Monument of Triumph update. It grants Chain Reaction (final blows cause a Solar explosion) and Rampage (kills grant stacking damage, up to 3x). Players farm it by resetting the boss checkpoint, with no weekly lockout.
