Overview
Altars of Summoning is a seasonal activity from Season of the Witch (Season 22), a 1-3 player matchmade activity in Savathûn's Throne World (the Court of Savathûn). Recommended Power Level: 1760. Hidden in the court is an oubliette where Savathûn imprisoned powerful creatures; her Ghost Immaru sends the Vanguard in to slay them and tithe the kills to Eris Morn, who is powering up to face Xivu Arath. The seasonal questline "Toil and Trouble" leads into "The Bladed Path" and unlocks it.
Encounters and mechanics
Players perform the Ritual of Induction at a central pool, then go to one of four altars (Devotion, Ferocity, Flesh or the Sword) and place an offering of varying difficulty to summon enemies, which must be defeated within a 7-minute timer. Finishing encounters fills a progress bar. Encounter types listed by guides: Void Keepers (destroy Void crystals to expose Imprisoned Abominations), Arc Singers (charge Arc crystals to lower Ei Haaruz's shield), Lucent Tribute (defeat Tribute Bearers to lower Alak'nar's shield), Taken Reverent (harvest Taken essences to break the Tormentor's shield), Ternary Minds (Vex sacrifices and Minotaurs) and Xivu's Talons (force Hive Wizards into material form). Rare "Ritual Anomalies" are simpler encounters with tighter time limits. Offerings and encounters rotated week to week.
Rewards
Six Legendary weapons across damage types, plus the Veiled Tithes armor set, seasonal engrams and progress toward the Deck of Whispers with Eris Morn.
