Void

Overview

Void is one of Destiny 2's three Light damage types, alongside Arc and Solar. Void subclasses use the power of gravity and space. Energy and Power weapons can deal Void damage, and Void weapons can break Void shields.

Subclasses

Each class has a Void subclass: the Sentinel (Titan), the Nightstalker (Hunter), and the Voidwalker (Warlock). The Sentinel summons Ward of Dawn, an indestructible dome, and can throw a Sentinel Shield. The Nightstalker's Dusk Bow fires Shadowshot arrows that tether enemies, and Spectral Blades summon dual Void blades. The Voidwalker's Nova Bomb hurls a dying star, and Nova Warp condenses Void Light into explosive blasts. A subclass can equip up to two Aspects, and each equipped Aspect unlocks Fragment slots.

Keywords

  • Volatile makes a target unstable so that it explodes when it takes further damage.
  • Devour restores full health, grants grenade energy, and extends the buff when a final blow is landed.
  • Invisibility hides the player from enemy radar. Offensive actions end it.
  • Suppression stops a target from using abilities, movement modes, or weapons. Suppressed Overload Champions are also stunned.
  • Overshield is a Void barrier that reduces damage taken.

Enemies

Void Absorption Shields are used by Vex Minotaurs, Taken Wizards, Splicer Captains, Scorn Chieftains, and Blood Guard Incendiors. Taken Acolytes, Incendiors, Raiders, and Servitors have them in higher-difficulty activities such as Legend Nightfalls.
