History of Amplifier

Overview

An '''Amplifier''' is a synaptic amplifier, described by Ghost as a mind-control device calibrated to interface with the Hive.

Location

In Target: The Mindbender on the Tangled Shore, the Guardian finds several amplifiers while Ghost traces the signal. The first is in a nearby cave, where the Guardian destroys the Hive and the device. The last is near a crashed tombship.

Disabling

The tombship amplifier has a safeguard. Ghost needs about a minute to disable it while waves of Scorn try to retake the device, and the Guardian must defend him until it is done.
