History of Archon Prime

An Archon Prime is a Fallen Archon who has seized leadership of a House. Archons are high priests of the Fallen. They act as intermediaries between the Kell and each House's Prime Servitor, and they form part of a House's triumvirate leadership. Without a Kell, an Archon becomes a figurehead who carries out the Prime's wishes. Houses keep "Rising Archons" ready to replace a fallen Archon.

An Archon Prime breaks that tradition by asserting control over the House directly. Aksis, Archon Prime, declared his own authority over the House of Devils and helped revive Sepiks Perfected to control the flow of Ether. Earlier, Riksis had helped Sepiks Prime rule after the Devils' Kell died.

Archons also oversee the Archon's Forge, a rite of passage for Fallen seeking higher station, and they relay the Kell's wishes to the Prime during Star Flight. Levaszk of the House of Exile is listed under the same Archon category.
