Authorization Override

Authorization Override is the basic quest in the NODE.OVRD.AVALON Exotic chain of Season of Defiance. It is given at the War Table in the H.E.L.M. after Vexcalibur is unlocked. It is the prerequisite for the Expert Authorization Override quest.

Overview

The quest sends Guardians into the Vex network in the EDZ, where a node has been overwritten with the word "AVALON". The Basic Authorization Override mod lets Vexcalibur pass through the network's barriers.

Walkthrough

1. Defeat Vex with Vexcalibur until the Vex Caliber Final Blows objective reaches 100%. Melee and ranged final blows both count. Perdition in Cadmus Ridge is a quick option.
2. Open Vexcalibur's details screen and equip the Basic Authorization Override mod.
3. Return to the War Table in the H.E.L.M. to receive the transmission and claim the reward.

Rewards

• The Basic Authorization Override mod for Vexcalibur.
• A Defiant Engram.
