History of Avalanche

Overview

Avalanche is a Legendary Solar Machine Gun that is part of the The Dawning seasonal weapon set. It is a Suros-made Machine Gun and a strong choice for clearing large groups in PvE, but of little use in PvP. Heal Clip, Collective Action and Incandescent are notable perks, making it a serviceable Solar heavy that competes with more popular options.

Acquisition

Earned during The Dawning, the winter holiday event run by Eva Levante. Each Dawning, the weapon is earned through the event's challenges (one copy per character-agnostic reward). Players can also farm specific rolls by buying the Limited Exchange Ticket upgrade from Eva Levante and spending Dawning Spirit with materials on focused drops. Baking and delivering gifts with Eva's Holiday Oven and collecting Essence of Dawning is the core event loop. Availability and methods change from year to year; the details here are from the 2023 event.
