Avant Garde

Avant Garde is a Portal Player Stake that restricts your loadout to New Gear. Most Portal activities offer it, and Conquests have it active.

New Gear is marked by a teal seasonal icon in the top-left corner of the item icon, and items without the teal background come from older seasons. Featured Gear is a separate section in the Exotics tab of the Collections menu. The stake gives a moderate score bonus, though it is technically not worth using over Equipment Locked. Separately, all New Gear grants an extra score multiplier in Portal activities.
