History of Bastion

Bastion is an Exotic Kinetic Fusion Rifle that uses Special ammo. Its flavor text is a quote from Saint-14.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, Saint's Fists, charges to fire three spreads of Kinetic slugs. After a melee hit the weapon gains increased damage, reduced charge time and faster reload for a short time; hitting with most pellets of a burst boosts melee damage briefly. It has a breakthrough option that is strong against Unstoppable Champions.

Acquisition

• Exotic Archive / Monument to Lost Lights: currently purchasable from the Exotic Archive at the Tower. Earlier, it was available from the Monument to Lost Lights, which held Shadowkeep-era Exotics.
• Memento (historical): Season of Dawn reward from the Corridors of Time community quest (quest name "Memento"). It is no longer available.

Catalyst

Added in June 2026, the catalyst grants Cast No Shadows: melee damage increases handling and loads a small amount of ammo from reserves. The catalyst objective is 400 Bastion target defeats. Catalyst progress can come from Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit or Exotic Order payouts (June 2026).
