Vanguard Ops

Overview

Vanguard Ops was the PvE matchmade playlist run by Commander Zavala. Three Guardians complete a random Strike or Battleground (roughly 10-15 minutes), and progress counted toward ritual activity challenges alongside the Crucible and Gambit.

History

• The Strike playlist became Vanguard Ops with The Witch Queen, absorbing the seasonal Battlegrounds missions; launching specific Battlegrounds individually was removed.
• Lightfall added PsiOps and Heist Battlegrounds.
• Sub-playlists include Nightfalls and Onslaught.
• The Edge of Fate largely replaced Strikes and removed the Vanguard Ops playlist in favour of Fireteam Ops in the Portal, with Nightfalls on a daily rotation.
