Battle of the Twilight Gap

The Battle of the Twilight Gap was one of the largest assaults on the Last City during the Hundred Years' Siege, fought at the Twilight Gap in the Wall outside the City. The Fallen Houses, under the Kell of Kings' manipulation, attacked to capture the Traveler. The House of Devils led the charge, with House of Kings and House of Winter in the assault. The House of Wolves was delayed by the Reef and missed the battle.

The Vanguard defense, with thousands of Guardians and City airborne forces and artillery, was organized by Saladin Forge. When Saladin ordered the fireteams to fall back to Ridgeback District, Lord Shaxx's fireteam refused, secured a gap in the Wall and held off the Fallen. Their counterattack pushed the Fallen back and drove them from the Wall.

The City won, and Solkis, Kell of Devils, was killed. The Fallen unity dissolved, and the Houses divided the planets of Sol among themselves. Shaxx then left Vanguard operations to run the Crucible and train new Guardians.
