Damage with the weapon generates a small amount of ability energy for the party member closest to a full charge. It is a team-support trait: the weapon feeds the squad's ability cycle, not just its own user.
Tips
Good for group play where ability uptime matters, since the energy goes to whoever is nearest a full charge.
