Braytech Transponder

The Braytech Transponder is a weekly Europa item sold by Variks for 50 Herealways Pieces, limited to one per week, after the Destiny 2: Beyond Light campaign (Game Revolution, Screen Rant). While active it attracts House of Salvation techno squads hunting Golden Age tech in the Eclipsed Zone, spawning a Techno Squad Leader.

Use

Killing the leader drops a hologram giving the Scanner buff, which is lost if you fast travel. You then destroy scanner drones in order (gold ones first) in Riis-Reborn or Vex sectors and activate nearby Scanner Augmentation Required panels. Each set of three yields a Rare Engram; all three weekly attempts give a Legendary Engram. It drives the eight Augment triumphs of Augmented Obsession, taking at least eight weeks, e.g. Augment: Bray Exoscience.
