Chalice of Light

Overview

The Chalice of Light is the central mechanic of the reprised Crota's End raid, which returned in Season of the Witch. It appears in every encounter.

Charging

Holding the Chalice fills a charge meter. Passing it after a full charge grants the Enlightened buff, which lets you light lanterns, start bridge construction, cross barriers and damage the Oversoul. Holding a fully charged Chalice for too long is fatal unless another player takes it within 10 seconds.

Abyss

In the Abyss, Weight of Darkness builds up as you run. At 10 stacks you lose sprint and jump, and lit lamps reduce it. The first raid challenge, Conservation of Energy, is also here.
