History of Collective Obligation
Revision 14849 by archivist at 2026-10-09 05:23:20
Overview
Collective Obligation is an Exotic Void Pulse Rifle from The Witch Queen era, in the Adaptive archetype (390 RPM). Its intrinsic perk Void Leech absorbs weaken, suppress and volatile debuffs from targets you or your fireteam damage; once charged you can switch fire modes to apply those debuffs to whatever you hit. The Exotic trait Umbral Sustenance reloads the magazine when you gain Devour, a Void overshield or invisibility.
Acquisition
- It is a random drop from Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness, the final boss of the Vow of the Disciple raid. Completing raid triumphs raises the chance.
- Reclaim from the Exotic Kiosk once collected.
Catalyst
Added in June 2026. PC Gamer’s June 10, 2026 table lists a random catalyst drop from the final boss of Vow of the Disciple and the Repulsor Brace perk. The opened Destinypedia page also reports random Rhulk completions and says a Master clear guarantees the catalyst; PC Gamer does not state that guarantee, so treat it as a secondary-source claim rather than independently confirmed. Complete the catalyst’s in-game target-defeat objective to unlock it.
