History of Collective Obligation

Overview

Collective Obligation is an Exotic Void Pulse Rifle introduced in The Witch Queen era (Season 16), in the Adaptive archetype (390 RPM). Its intrinsic perk Void Leech absorbs weaken, suppress and volatile debuffs from targets you or your fireteam damage; once charged you can switch fire modes to apply those debuffs to whatever you hit. The Exotic trait Umbral Sustenance reloads the magazine when you gain Devour, a Void overshield or Invisibility.

Acquisition

• It is a random drop from Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness, the final boss of the Vow of the Disciple raid. Completing raid triumphs raises the chance.
• Reclaim from the Exotic Kiosk once collected.

Catalyst

The catalyst has a random chance to drop from Rhulk in Vow of the Disciple; a Master difficulty completion guarantees it. Upgrading it grants the Repulsor Brace trait, which gives an overshield when you defeat a target afflicted with a Void debuff.
