'''Concussive Dampener''' is a Legendary armor mod in the chest armor slot. It reduces incoming area-of-effect damage from combatants in PvE. One copy reduces AOE damage by 15%, two copies by 25% and three by about 30%, with diminishing returns. Copies stack multiplicatively with other damage resistance mods.

It applies to boss stomps, Cursed Thrall explosions, Exploder Shanks, enemy grenades, rocket and explosive splash damage, and environmental ground hazards. Its value is common in Nightfall strikes with explosive enemies. Its effectiveness has been adjusted several times.
