History of Dark Descent

Overview

Dark Descent is a Legendary Trait from Season 8 and the trait on Deathbringer. The further a Void orb falls, the more powerful its detonation becomes.

How it works

The trait rewards height. Fire and detonate high enough that the orbs have time to drop before they land, so each shot reaches a stronger detonation. The initial shot flies for about 6.5 seconds before it detonates on its own.

Catalyst

The Dead Weight catalyst speeds up how quickly Dark Descent reaches its maximum strength, so the orbs get to full power over a shorter drop.
