History of Defense Laser

The Defense Laser appears in the final battles of Heist Battleground. When the boss reaches half health, it gains an invincible shield. The shield can only be removed by activating the laser, which requires depositing five Arc Charges at the objective.

The charges are dropped by enemies that spawn during these fights; in the Moon variant of the mission, these are Arc-Charged Scorn. Once the laser fires, it strikes the boss for a few seconds and strips the shield, leaving the boss vulnerable for the rest of the encounter.
