History of Demo Squad

Overview

Demo Squad is a Triumph in Destiny 2 worth 15 points. It asks the player to defeat the Assimilated Demolishers that are summoned in the Hallows. Each Demolisher kill can also drop an Assimilated Beacon, which is used to start the summon.

How to complete

Guides written during the Echoes season (2024) describe the following chain on Nessus. Check it against the current game, as the summon may have changed since then.

1. Start the NES006 quest (Specimen ID NES006), which is picked up from one of the Battlegrounds in the Echoes episode. Finish it to receive the Assimilated Torch Hammer.
2. With the hammer, Assimilated Demolishers appear when you walk up to the Vex gates in the Battlegrounds.
3. Defeat Demolishers until one drops an Assimilated Beacon. The drop chance is high, and a beacon is not always needed.
4. In Watcher's Grave, go up the path to the Cabal tank. Beside the Cabal machinery is a white Vex conflux. Activate it with the beacon prompt to summon three Assimilated Demolishers.
5. Defeat all three within the five-minute timer. Solo is very difficult. One other player makes it much more achievable.

The first clear of the summon gives a guaranteed 400g Radiolite Sample. Sources disagree on how often this reward can be earned, and one forum post says once per account per week.

Tips:

• Bring a second player so all three Demolishers can die before the timer ends.
• The in-game description says Hallows, while the summon guides place it in Watcher's Grave. If you can't find the summon in one place, check the other.
