History of Devil's Ruin Catalyst

Overview

The Devil's Ruin Catalyst is a Triumph within Destiny 2 for the Devil's Ruin exotic. The objective requires the player to defeat a total of 700 targets using that weapon. The triumph grants no score or reward.

How to complete

To complete the Devil's Ruin Catalyst triumph, the player must accumulate 700 target defeats using Devil's Ruin. The triumph tracks the cumulative count, so kills can be spread over many activities.

1. Get the weapon and the catalyst. The catalyst is part of the ritual activity pool, from Vanguard Ops, Crucible and Gambit, and from Exotic Orders at the Seasonal Hub. Drops are random, so keep running these activities.
2. Learn the catalyst's perk. Collective Action raises damage for a stacking period after collecting an elemental pickup or destroying a Tangle, so kill and pickup timing matters.
3. Use the weapon in activities with many targets, since every defeat with it counts toward the 700.

Tips: the catalyst's damage bonus lasts only for a short time after a pickup or Tangle destruction, so time the Tangle breaks with fights.
