History of ENTRY 6 - Excess of Avarice

Overview

ENTRY 6 - Excess of Avarice is a triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the Captain's Log entry of the same name. The entry is a Captain's Log reading added in Season of the Chosen on 16 February 2021. Narrated by Emperor Calus in the first person, Calus gathers an audience for a ritual in which his Councilors use the Crown to link captive Scorn to a Darkness anomaly over Mars. He hopes to absorb its power and become like it. When the anomaly ignores him, he tears apart the Scorn searching for the Observer, then sees the Observer's presence in the eyes of his crew.

How to complete

Captain's Log entries like this one were unlocked by completing the Presage Exotic mission each week, according to Destinypedia. Presage needs the quest The Voice on the Other Side first. The Destiny 2 Wiki says Presage moved into the Destiny Content Vault with The Witch Queen and was slated to return in Season 22 as part of an Exotic mission rotator. Those sources are dated, so check the current rotator before planning. Each weekly Presage completion also dropped one Dead Man's Tale per character.
