History of Edge of Action

Edge of Action is a Void Glaive Exotic from Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, associated with the Titan class.
Overview
Its exotic trait, Remote Shield, lets you spend the glaive's energy (charged by landing projectile hits) to fire a shot that deploys a protective shield at the impact point. Glaives are hybrid melee/ranged weapons with a frontal shield. In Episode: Heresy a bug let any class use the class-tied glaives and Bungie made it official (per Destinypedia).
Acquisition
Complete the series of reports at The Evidence Board in the Enclave on Mars, ending with Report: REVERSE-LURE: plant the Osmic Fragment at the Queen's Bailey in Savathûn's Throne World next to the Florescent Canal, defeat the Lucent Brood, and return it to the board. This grants the Exotic Glaive pattern for crafting at the Relic. It is craftable and cannot be enhanced.
Catalyst
The catalyst adds Repulsor Brace: defeating a Void-debuffed target grants an overshield. It is reported to drop from Vanguard Ops, Crucible Ops, Gambit, or an Exotic Order payout in the Seasonal Hub. After obtaining it, insert the catalyst and defeat targets with Edge of Action to unlock the perk.
