History of Enthymeme (triumph)

Overview

Enthymeme is a Season of the Wish mission within the Wishing All the Best questline. It awards 10 Triumph score. The objective is to retrieve Riven's egg from the Dreaming City while navigating through Scorn-infested territory.

How to complete

The mission begins at Riven's Lair. The Guardian must traverse the lair, activating three plates to open portals that lead to subsequent areas: the Splintered Geode, Gnashing Chamber, Fetid Conduit, and finally the Lyceum.

In the Gnashing Chamber, the Guardian must defeat Scorn to acquire Ephemeral Virus. This virus is used to break the shields of Plaguewielders. After breaking the shields, the Guardian must defeat the Plaguewielders and jump on an altar to cleanse the virus. This process must be repeated in the Lyceum against the Well Protector and the Locus of Subjugation.

During the confrontation with the Locus of Subjugation, dialogue occurs between Riven, The Crow, and Petra Venj. The Crow refuses to aid in bringing about the final shape, citing past wishes that caused death. Petra Venj concludes the encounter, stating the Queen is waiting. Upon defeating the boss, the Guardian retrieves the egg, completing the mission.
