History of Essence of the Season

Overview

Essence of the Season is a seasonal Triumph in Destiny 2 that tracks the total Dawning Essence you earn, with a target of 21. Dawning Essence is the currency of the Dawning event.

How to complete

Earn 21 Dawning Essence in total during the event. The triumph progress updates as Essence is gained.

• Activities: Almost any activity grants Dawning Essence, including Public Events, story missions and Crucible matches. The reward scales with activity length, so longer activities give more per run.
• Bounties: The weekly Dawning bounties from Eva Levante give 30 Essence each.
• Farming: Heroic public events on large destinations such as the European Dead Zone are the recommended farm. An earlier drop-pod loop in First Contact was patched out of a previous event and may be removed again.
