Exegesis

Overview

Exegesis is the third story mission of Destiny 2: The Final Shape, set in The Pale Heart inside the Traveler. The Guardian, Crow, Cayde-6 and your Ghost search for Ikora Rey, who went in to commune with the Traveler and understand the Witness's corruption. It is a solo-friendly campaign mission with Normal and Legendary difficulty; launch it from the campaign quest in the director. Followed by the mission "Requiem".

Walkthrough

1. Find Ikora's wrecked ship; scanning it spawns the Hive Ogre boss Pillar of Silence.
2. Early puzzles: pick up a Crystalline Key and use it on pressure plates to open doors.
3. Use the Aegis/Light Relic for the Light and Darkness mechanic: Hive Knights killed bare-handed drop Darkness motes, killed with the Light Relic drop Light motes. Deposit them to empower the fonts.
4. Pillar of Silence has a shield that only the Light Relic can break. Repeat the empower, relic and damage cycle across its three health phases.
5. Clear the Dread, including a Tormentor, and meet Ikora at the Cradle. She concludes Light can destroy the Witness.
