Overview

Explore is the activity category for free-roam destination activity such as Io: patrol areas, Public Events, Lost Sectors and Adventures. Adventures are short quests that expand the story. In Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris, they gained harder Heroic Adventures with rotating modifiers, available when a Flashpoint is on the planet. Heroic Adventures no longer drop powerful gear.
