History of Fated Cipher

Overview

Fated Cipher is a Legendary material from The Edge of Fate. It is earned mainly from Time Latch missions and The Sieve on Kepler, and some Kepler activities also drop it. Spend it at the Altar of Relativity in the Focused Decoding menu to buy Kepler Engrams, which give random Kepler gear. Higher-tier engrams cost more Fated Ciphers. Focusing also needs a material that changes with the daily region.

Fated Cipher is distinct from the Exotic Cipher, which comes from the Rewards Pass, Xenology, Exotic Orders and certain Triumphs. Exotic Ciphers are spent at the Monument to Lost Lights or Xûr. Fated Ciphers have nothing to do with the Exotic Kiosk.
