History of Featured Gear

Featured Gear is a set of Exotic items shown in a "Featured Gear" section of the Exotics tab in the Collections menu. TheGamer's 2025 guide on New Gear does not define it as a separate category. Featured Gear is often a drop source from Portal activities.

Avant Garde

Avant Garde is a Portal player stake that restricts a loadout to New Gear. TheGamer's guide says it gives a moderate score bonus, but is technically not worth using over Equipment Locked. Another quest guide describes the restriction as New or Featured Gear, so the exact rule may differ between sources.
