First Ascent Cloak

First Ascent Cloak is a Legendary Hunter Hunter Cloak (Armor) from the First Ascent armor set, introduced with The Final Shape and sourced from The Pale Heart. It is the Hunter class item piece of the set.

Overview

First Ascent is a five-piece Legendary armor set for each class (Hunter, Titan, Warlock): Helmet, Gauntlets, Chest Armor, Leg Armor and Class item. Its set perks are "Stack 'Em Up" (2 pieces), which gives a stacking bonus to Transcendence energy gain while Transcendence is inactive when you defeat targets with unique elemental damage, and "Burn 'Em Down" (4 pieces), which lets grenades consume stacks for escalating grenade energy while Transcendence is active. Only four pieces are needed for the full bonus, leaving room for an Exotic. The flavor text of this piece reads: "There is nothing as exquisite as the feeling of doing what no one has done."

Acquisition

The piece is awarded by the quest The Ascendant from Micah-10 in The Pale Heart, after completing the Iconoclasm campaign mission of The Final Shape. Micah's quests arrive in bundles and are a post-campaign grind; unlocking a piece also unlocks its variants for the other classes. The other class versions of this piece have separate pages.
