History of Fortress

Overview

Fortress is a Crucible activity entry in the Iron Banner playlist, themed around zone control (the in-game blurb attributes it to Lord Saladin: "Control the zones—and watch your head!"). It is a matchmade Iron Banner Control match played on The Fortress map, a launch-era Crucible map in the European Dead Zone on Earth. Iron Banner is only available while the event is live; launch it from the Director under the Crucible.

Map

The Fortress has 12 interconnected zones (Shore, Grotto, central Rocks, Castle hub, Passage, Dungeon and others), with sniper lanes through Crash, Rocks and Falls and mixed open and close-range areas. It supports Countdown, Supremacy and Control, with power ammo spawning at different spots per mode.
