Gambit Engram

Overview

A Gambit Engram is a Legendary engram earned by raising rank with the Drifter in Gambit. It holds a random Legendary Gambit weapon or armor piece and decrypts at the Drifter, not Master Rahool. It can be focused for specific items or legacy sets.

Acquisition

You receive one Gambit Engram for each rank you gain with the Drifter, and ranks come from completing Gambit matches. The Engram Tracker shows how many you have.

Claiming an engram from the Drifter's vendor screen decrypts it immediately into an item from the current loot pool. You no longer need to take it to Master Rahool.

A Gambit Engram can contain any Legendary Gambit weapon or armor piece. Gambit weapons include Albruna-D, Borrowed Time, Bottom Dollar, Crowd Pleaser, Dead Weight, Herod-C, Servant Leader, Trinary System, Trust and Yesteryear. These weapons drop with one trait in the third and fourth perk columns, and resetting your Gambit rank adds traits to those columns, up to four resets. The seasonal Gambit weapon, Laser Painter, is only available from Gambit matches.

Armor comes from the Viperidax set for Titan, Hunter and Warlock, including helmets, gauntlets, chest armor, leg armor and class items.

Focusing

• Buy a specific item from the Drifter to focus the engram on it. The engram is consumed when you buy it.
• Focused Decoding lists weapons and armor from the current loot pool.
• Legacy Gear lists older armor sets that are no longer in rotation. Patch 7.0.0.1 added this option.
