History of Gnashing Chamber Starcat

Overview

The Gnashing Chamber Starcat is one of the 14 Starcats in the Familiar Felines collection from Season of the Wish. Its clue reads "Within the Gnashing Chamber in Riven's Lair, this Starcat appreciates fine art." The Gnashing Chamber is a room in Riven's Lair that resembles the vault encounter from the Last Wish raid.

How to complete

1. Run Riven's Lair, The Coil or the Enthymeme mission until the Gnashing Chamber appears. It does not show up on every run.
2. Defeat the three Plaguewielders in the chamber, then find the Starcat on a table. Guides place it on the left side of the central room, or ahead and slightly to the left once the Plaguewielders are down.
3. Walk up to the cat and hold the on-screen prompt to present a gift.

Tip: one 2024 guide calls the Enthymeme mission in Week 3 the easiest way to see this room. Otherwise, rerun Riven's Lair and The Coil and check each portal.

Rewards

Finding the Starcat counts toward Familiar Felines and drops Dreaming City loot and a Lair Key. Collecting all 14 Starcats unlocks the Familiar Felines triumph, which rewards the Wyrmguard Shell and is required for the Wishbearer title.
