History of Goliath Tank

Overview

The Goliath Tank is a Cabal super-heavy hovercraft for area denial. The Grimoire calls it "the single largest piece of ground-based ordnance the Cabal has deployed in our system." Its estimated 110mm Solar main cannon has long range, high velocity and a large blast radius, and can instantly kill a Guardian with a direct hit. It also has Solar machine guns, with one on the main turret and two at the front, clustered homing missiles fired in volleys like those of the Colossus, and flak turrets that fire explosive shells into the air.

Four independently firing thrusters, one at each corner, provide locomotion. Each thruster is also a weak spot that takes extra damage until it is destroyed. The tank can charge while deploying quick-detonating mines, or fire an energy jet that knocks players back and applies the Burning debuff.

The Goliath first appeared in the original Destiny and was also featured in The Taken King. It has been used by the Red Legion, Shadow Legion and Siege Dancers, among other Cabal affiliates, and appears across many later seasons and expansions.
