Gorgon

Overview

Gorgons are harpy enemies in the Gorgons' Labyrinth, a section deep in the Vault of Glass on Venus. They nest there and guard the way into the deeper part of the vault. The area is a stealth passage: the team must cross the cavern without being spotted by the Gorgons. Once past them, Guardians reach the raid's jumping puzzle.

Lore

In the Paradox mission of The Taken King, Oryx ordered Morphon, the Blighted Mind, and its followers to attack the Vault of Glass. A distress signal from Praedyth drew Ikora Rey to the Labyrinth, where Morphon commanded its forces. After Morphon was destroyed, it was revealed that Praedyth had died long ago and the signal was centuries old. The Vex had used it to draw the Guardians in to destroy Morphon's forces. The Taken later invaded the Labyrinth after Oryx's defeat.
