Grandmaster: Strange Terrain

Overview

Grandmaster: Strange Terrain is a Triumph awarded for completing the Strange Terrain Nightfall on Grandmaster difficulty during Season of Arrivals.

Strange Terrain is a Hive strike on Mars, adapted from a Warmind expansion story mission. Its boss is Nokris, Herald of Xol, a Wizard. It was moved into the Destiny Content Vault with Beyond Light and is no longer in the game.

How to complete

1. Launch Strange Terrain on Grandmaster difficulty as the featured Nightfall.
2. Clear the Hive enemies across the Mars map, focusing on the Wizard boss Nokris, Herald of Xol.
3. Finish the strike to complete the triumph.

Tips

• The Nightfall version of the strike had a chance to drop the BrayTech Osprey.
• Because the strike is vaulted, the triumph can no longer be progressed.

Status

Bungie's Update 9.7.0 patch notes deprecated Nightfall-related triumphs and metrics. Progress already earned was kept, but this triumph can no longer be earned. Grandmaster Nightfalls had already been removed as a standalone rotation with Update 9.0.0.1, when Nightfalls moved to a daily rotation, and Grandmaster now appears as a difficulty tier in the matchmaking portal.
