History of Heliostat

Overview

Heliostat is an Exotic Mission on Earth released 7 October 2025 (Destiny 2: Renegades era update). Guardians infiltrate a forgotten Golden Age facility to stop the Conductor, Maya Sundaresh, from launching a dangerously modified Warsat. Launch it from the Portal, Activities tab, under Pinnacle Ops. Squad of 1-3. Difficulty and rewards are customizable (Customize/Matchmade variants).

Encounters and mechanics

• Fight waves outside, then use synchronization points to summon allied Psions whose Radiation Shielding lets you cross irradiated zones.
• Destroy four security nodes to open the bunker.
• Trapped corridors where only certain doorways are safe.
• Hacking sections with Hacking Psions at paired consoles.
• Boss: Valus Thuun, a Hydra that goes immune between damage phases until accompanying Wardens are killed.
• Finish by shooting the satellite to seal the Quicksilver energy.

Rewards

Wolfsbane, an Exotic axe (first axe weapon) that spawns quicksilver nanites to heal, plus Legendary gear and materials. Manifest also lists Bushido and Eutechnology armor, Forced Memorializer, Lionfish-4fr and other loot.
