Hive Ritual

Overview

The Hive Ritual is the first encounter in Ghosts of the Deep. Guardians must disrupt a Hive ritual to break the seals on a sealed door and continue the dungeon.

Walkthrough

1. Clear the enemies guarding the sealed door. A Soulfire Binder Ogre appears, and killing it reveals a glowing trail.
2. Follow the trail to the first Hive rune. Kill the enemies there, then continue along the trail to the next rune.
3. At the third rune a Lightbearer appears. Kill it and crush its Ghost to gain the Vestige of Light buff, which lasts about 90 seconds.
4. Return to the door and kill the Veilweaver Wizard to gain Deepsight.
5. With Deepsight active, find the statue marked with the same rune and deposit the Vestige there to break one seal.
6. Repeat the cycle for the remaining runes. Guides differ on the total number of seals (three or four), so follow the in-game prompts. Once all seals are broken, the door opens.
