Lore

Caiatl learns that four frigates have defected to Emperor Calus's side during the Imperial blockade of the Leviathan, and that 250 soldiers were lost. Her advisors urge an attack, and Ca'aurg and Tha'arec argue that inaction looks weak. Caiatl blames her father's decadent rule for a complacent military. She orders the blockade held, citing the Leviathan's sudden reappearance and the unknown threats beyond it. Saladin appears to be the only advisor who agrees with her, and Caiatl privately doubts her own decision.
