Lore

Ada-1 is in the Black Armory trying to weld metal while studying a tome, when Suraya Hawthorne arrives and teases her about the noise. Ada-1 blames Zavala for pressing her to get the forges running again, though she sees keeping them going as her duty to her founders' legacy. She explains that the Armory was founded to defend humanity against the Darkness, and that the forges were only tools. Hawthorne argues that the Armory is too focused on Guardians and that Ada-1 clings too tightly to the past, since the founders started with a problem rather than a fixed solution. Ada-1 admits that letting go of the forges is unsettling. The conversation ends with a handshake and Hawthorne asking her to keep the noise down.
