History of III - Cold Forging

Overview

III - Cold Forging is a Triumph in Destiny 2 that reveals a lore entry in the Quintessence book. The book was introduced in Season of the Risen, and this entry was added with The Witch Queen in March 2022.

The entry is a briefing by Shaw Han to newly risen Guardians at the edge of the Cosmodrome. He warns that the Hive is coming to wipe them out while they are still inexperienced. When an attack breaks out, Shaw Han captures a Hive Ghost and destroys it to show that only paracausal weapons can kill Ghosts, then leads the Guardians into the fight alongside the Vanguard. The entry is also tagged to Ikora Rey, Saint-14, Lord Saladin, Lord Shaxx and Zavala.
